Twitpay…

Do you hanker to send me a few cents? You can you know. All you need to do is get a Twitpay account. It’s a new startup service that enables one to send money via twitter. Remember, my twitter name is statrixbob. Go ahead, send me a few fennigs. 🙂

The service works hand in hand with Amazon Payments so it should be “safe” to use.
The only thing I’m not overly happy with is the fact that one can check other folks accounts by using their twitter name. If you check on me by going to http://twitpay.me/statrixbob you will learn I have no incoming payments due me, nor have I made a payment. By the time you see this that may have changed of course. 🙂
You can try it with some of your friends and find out if what they’re doing – just replace ‘statrixbob‘ with another twitter name – like scobleizer for instance.
Will it work in the long run? I have absolutely no idea. But I think something like this will eventually allow us to spend our hard earned dollars using one of the various electronic devices we carry around. Start now, send me a buck. 🙂
